Our New Growing Spaces Website Is Live

We’ve launched a refreshed Growing Spaces website. Whether you've been with us for years or just found us, I wanted to walk you through what changed and why.

Choosing a greenhouse takes research, and caring for one brings new questions every season, so our website needs to help with both. We have years of product information and owner guidance to draw on, but finding the right answer has not always been easy.

That is what our team has spent more than a year working to improve. I wanted people to be able to research on their own schedule while still finding it easy to reach us when they needed a conversation.

What’s improved

1. Find what you need faster, wherever you start

Most people do not begin on the homepage. They arrive through a guide, an article, a product page, or an older link from an email or a friend, and need to find their way from there.

Although we have built up a lot of helpful content over time, the connections between those pages have not always been clear. Even when an answer existed, it could be difficult to find from the page someone was reading.

To make that easier, we reorganized the Greenhouse Guide, comparison tables, FAQ, and blog navigation, with clearer routes through the menus to related information. Readers should be able to follow a subject without having to start over.

Note: If you have saved older links or bookmarks, we are taking care that they lead to the same page if it exists, or at minimum, somewhere similar and useful. Let us know if you end up on an error page that says "oops!"

2. Search across the website, blog, and shop

Search now covers our website, our blog, and our store in one place.

For example, someone researching snow loads may also need ventilation guidance or a replacement part. Those answers used to be separated by where we had put them, even though they could all be part of the same project. Bringing them into one search should make it easier to follow the question wherever it leads.

Try a question or topic in the search box. A few examples:

3. Research on your own or talk with us

Growing Spaces has always been a greenhouse company that you can reach on the phone, and we intend to keep it that way. You can still call or email our team; for many customers, knowing whom to contact after the purchase is part of the reason they choose us.

But I also want the site to work for someone who prefers to read and compare before starting a conversation. They should be able to find useful answers without having to contact sales.

To help with that, the new chatbot draws on Growing Spaces information, including our website, documentation, and greenhouse and gardening articles. You will find it behind the chat bubble in the bottom right corner of most pages.

If you reach a point where you want to speak with someone, ask the chat to send a message to our team. You can also email or call us using the details on our contact page.

4. Manuals and records for verified owners

Once someone owns a dome, the questions become more specific. They need the instructions for their particular structure, especially when it is time for maintenance or a repair.

Verified owners can now log in to find those resources, including documentation we have brought forward from the old site. We will keep improving the instructions as we learn where people get stuck, so please tell us if a step is unclear.

Along with those documents, the owner area provides access to past orders from our online store. We plan to add more resources as we learn what owners find useful.

To find your documents, log in with the email address associated with your purchase. You should see resources for your dome size, with separate sets if you own multiple sizes. If something is missing, contact us so we can check the email address and purchase record. We can also arrange access for a spouse, contractor, or someone helping with the dome at your request.

5. Privacy and email preferences

You will find an updated privacy policy and improved email preference options, so you can better understand how we communicate and choose what you receive.

My aim is to make it easier for readers to understand how we use their information and to change their preferences when they want to.

What’s coming next

The office team could use a break after this launch, although there is still plenty I want us to do.

One of those projects is a set of calculators for heating, cooling, and lighting needs. Because local temperatures, latitude, cloud cover, and dome size affect those estimates, I want the assumptions to be visible alongside the results. That should help people understand what they are looking at and decide which questions to bring to us.

Alongside the website work, we are researching a larger, scalable greenhouse option and grow light, heating, and cooling packages for domes. We are also continuing to work on the reliability of the components owners use year after year.

For now, please try the site and tell us where you get stuck. If a question is hard to answer or a document is hard to find, knowing where that happened gives us something specific to fix.
